Greetings,

I’m Nick Reinecker, candidate for Kansas governor, and I’m running with my wife of 25 years, Katy, as my lieutenant. I was born in McPherson, live in Inman, and have spent my life serving Kansans—as an EMT, firefighter, police officer, Certified Nurse Aide, and for the last 18 years, manager of the Inman Harvest Café.
Katy and I raised our children at home and in that café, where the coffee crowd—farmers, retired businessmen, widows, and members of the greatest generation—helped shape their lives and ours. That experience taught me what Kansas really is: faith, family, work, neighborliness, and responsibility.
After years of paying over 16 percent of the café’s income to taxes without proper representation, it is time to take the fight to another level. That is why I’m running as the Kansas Underdog—to replace politics as usual with state government that is truly of, for, and by the people.
As governor, I will defend Kansans’ natural, God-given rights and protect life and liberty from threats outside the state and from within. I will work from the founders’ perspective that recognizes that Kansas is a free, independent, and sovereign state.
I am also the only candidate calling to de-schedule cannabis aka hemp or marijuana and eliminate criminal penalties for possession and planting. At the same time, I support tough consequences for dangerous synthetic substances like fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine. Treatment has its place, but early consequences matter to character and the state budget.
Across Kansas, there is a hunger for authenticity, accountability, compassion, meaning, and purpose. I intend to answer that hunger with consistent, constitutionally conservative principles that put God, the family, and the individual above government. People are tired of being controlled by bullies of bad economics and unprincipled politics. I fully stand on The Kansas Republican Party platform and will always have a watchful eye for Marxist ideology that must be neutralized.
My goal is simple: to serve the people of Kansas by following our agreed-upon rules of individual freedom, limited government, state’s rights, and traditional values. My name is Nick Reinecker, the Kansas Underdog. I would appreciate your vote on August 4th.
